Liquidation

As of December 31, 2023, BlueSky Asia was liquidated. The reason for this was that the high costs of remaining competitive were no longer affordable. However, flight utilization continued to fall short of expectations despite correspondingly high ticket prices. As a result, the BlueSky Holding Group was forced to close the airline while it was still in the black in order to avoid possible bankruptcy.
The remaining proceeds have already been used to found another airline and a generous takeover or severance offer was made to all employees. It is with great pleasure that we can announce that around 85% of the employees have agreed to a takeover and have been transferred to the new and existing airlines. In some cases without having to change location. The entire BlueSky Holding Group would like to thank its employees for their trust and loyalty, especially in times like these.

New Airline was founded - BlueSky America
Minneapolis, Minnesota - USA
On 1st January 2024, a new airline was born. BlueSky America will operate from Minneapolis - Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) within the US and Canada, followed by flights to Central and South America by end of 2024. Flights to Europe, Asia and Africa will launch in Q2 or Q3 2025.

Aircraft Orders
BlueSky America has ordered several aircraft from Airbus and Boeing.
The orders include the following aircraft types.
  • Airbus A220-300 (100)
  • Airbus A320neo (60)
  • Airbus A321neo (50)
  • Airbus A330-800neo (55)
